Services are 180-205$ per hour (details below).

What to expect: The evaluation process usually spreads over a few months. Every step along the way, our clients are learning more about themselves.

Note: Because a full neuropsychological evaluation is a long and detailed process that usually take 12 hours, the relevance of this investment is discussed at the end of the initial 2 hrs consultation (often called "intake" session). Details below.

Evaluation (to get a diagnosis) 12+ hours

Session type Duration Content
Intake 2 hours Review of symptoms, development and personal history
Formal testing 2 x 2 hours (longer if legal or complex issues) Formal testing of your memory, attention, language, reasoning, etc. Client is sent questionnaires to complete. Client also share reports card, results of past evaluations, etc.
Analysis and report writing 5 hours Analyze questionnaires, report cards, test scores, symptoms and context, write report, etc.
Feedback session 1 hour Results are discussed, a diagnosis may be provided, recommendations are considered. This is the most important session. Some clients like to have 2 feedback sessions, allowing themselves to process.
NOTE : evaluations for adolescents tend to be more complex. Because they still have a rather long student career in front of them, the process is more meticulous. We also consider all family members point of view on the topic, which takes more time. In the end, it's worth taking the time. At this time, only Dre Desormeaux offers services to adolescents and their family.

Intervention

Session type Duration Content
Intake 2 hours Review of symptoms, development and personal history
Intervention 1 hour Intervention focusing on symptoms
**Intervention without a full evaluation means no diagnosis is provided. This approach is faster and cheaper but, depending on the difficulties, this may not always possible. At this time, only Dre Gagnon offers intervention. Most frequently, she offers cognitive remediation for adult with ADHD, with head injuries or post surgery. Our goal: to improve functioning in daily life. Cognitive rehabilitation could be used with or without medication. The medication has to be prescribed and controlled by your GP. He is the one who knows best about your physical health.
