- Authorized to perform Neuropsychological Assessments (reserved act)
Dr. Rachel Downey holds a PhD from Concordia University. She has specialized training in the assessment of ADHD and neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, and epilepsy.
Her clinical work is informed by a PhD-level research background, with a particular interest in dementia and cognitive aging. Her doctoral research focused on how cognitive, sensory, and motor changes interact in aging, and how these processes can be improved through targeted interventions. Dr. Downey also holds a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Toronto, where she conducted concussion research with varsity athletes. She has been working with us since 2020 as a psychometrist, then as a PhD candidate before graduating with a PhD in 2025.
